The Spring Softball season of 2009 is in its final days.  Thank you to all the players who demonstrated a desire for the game, effort and great sportsmanship.  We hope all of you who are eligible come back in next Spring!

Thank you to all the coaches and directors who gave their time to do a great job!  Without your effort, we could not have had a successful year.

Thank you to the parents for all your support throughout the year!

We will have several board positions open for 2010 so if you are interested, send us an email!

Our Summer teams get underway this week so please look on our website for their schedules and come root them on!

The Westwood Recreation Department will hold a Softball Clinic with the following details:

• Softball Clinc for Girls entering Grades 6-8
• Monday thru Thursday , July 13-16
• Time: 5:30pm - 7:45pm at the Middle School Softball Field
• Instructor is Laura Gallagher
• Cost is $63

This clinic will provide a great opportunity for the players to develop and refine their softball skills: batting, fielding, bunting and base running.  Stretching and agility drills will be incorporated in the workout.  Games will be played to integrate all skills.  Participants should bring a water bottle and a softball glove.  Cleats are recommended.  If it rains and there is a cancelation of a day, the make-up will be on Friday July 17th.
